Champions - Round 2a

Bracket of Champions

This is it, folks! The swan song of Bracket of Champions... and so we had to bring out the big guns. This bracket features all past winners of BoC brackets. Who is the greatest Bracket of Champions Champion of all? It's time to vote!

Round 1

(1) Reese's Peanut Butter Cups v (5) The Office

It's time to officially anoint Reese's Cups as the GOAT candy. With the exception of the poor souls with a peanut allergy, Reese's Cups are simply unequaled. Not only are they the GOAT candy, but they're the GOAT in this bracket. They have the biggest championship win margin in BoC history, with a massive 83% dominating win.

The Office took down Friends 60/40 to win the Sitcom Bracket. Do Michael Scott and the rest of the Dunder-Mifflin gang have enough to take down the other champions?

(3) Raiders of the Lost Ark v (2) Rivendell

It takes a pretty special champion to take down John McClane and DIE HARD, but RAIDERS pulled it off, and convincingly, too. Indiana won that battle by a whopping 68% to 32% in our 80s and 90s Action Movies bracket.

Imagine a place that's not only the most beautiful place of rest, but a place so powerful that it has the ability to defeat Hogwarts! That's Rivendell. The home of Elrond took down Dumbledore's haunt in our Literary Residences bracket by a 71% to 29% margin.

(8) The Princess Bride v (4) Kermit

While the subject of debate about its inclusion in the category at all, The Princess Bride eked out a win over 80s classic Back to the Future to win one of our larger brackets, 80s Comedies. Its continued presence in almost every comment strand on the page shows its strength and that it is a necessary addition to the Champions Bracket

C'mon, was it ever going to end any other way? Do you picture anyone else first when you hear "The Muppets"? the answer is no and as such Kermit won the bracket that saw our membership grow by the biggest margins.

(3) Sherlock Holmes v (2) Inigo Montoya

The case was cracked in our Fictional Detectives bracket as Holmes edged out the Scooby Doo gang in the final. Whether it is the written word, RDJ, Cumberbatch, or even (shudder) Johnny Lee Miller, Sherlock is who the Bracketeers wanted on the case.

In addition to teaching us the perfect way to introduce ourselves, Inigo edges out his compatriot Fezzick to win our Princess Bride chracter bracket. Comedy or not, Inigo's win is no laughing matter.
